The collections are based on the hair types and the many hats. If your avatar has that hair type (color doesn't matter) or helmet then your avatars will be in that collection. Collection 1 is the collection without hair or a helmet.

This is interesting, I would like to know how you did it. From the page source it looks like you simply changed some numbers representing the stuff. But if you need a the id from the LU page... You can also find that from clicking on their name on the messageboards, actually you have to right click and copy link location. Am I in here? Also, some pages I don't see any on (#12). Is that verrell123 on page 3? He is my arch-nemesis (kind of). He keeps uploading stolen pictures to LU and claiming they are his own and I keep reporting them and getting them removed. This has happened probably 20 times. Not to mention he dupes. I can't find any way to contact him.
